Marco Müller ***

In November 2023, we had the pleasure of welcoming top chef Marco Müller from the restaurant "Rutz" to Villa Louise. Rutz was the first and so far, the only Berlin restaurant to receive three Michelin stars. Marco Müller is considered one of Germany's most ambitious and innovative chefs. He always develops his creative ideas from the product itself, putting it at the center and giving it new brilliance.

In his youth, Marco Müller wanted to be a sculptor, but the conditions in the former GDR did not allow it, so he did an apprenticeship as a chef in Potsdam. After German reunification, he moved to Berlin, first to the Schlosshotel im Grunewald, then called the Gerhuus, which served classic French cuisine.

In 1999, Marco Müller took over the position of chef de cuisine at the Michelin-starred "Harlekin" at the Hotel Esplanade in Berlin, where Lars Rutz was restaurant manager.

In 2001, Lars Rutz opened the "Rutz" restaurant and wine bar on Chausseestrasse in Berlin. Since 2004, Marco Müller has been the chef at Rutz. Since its inception almost 20 years ago, "Rutz" has been a destination for discerning gourmets, wine enthusiasts and discoverers.
