Nobelhart & Schmutzig *

In May 2023, we had the pleasure of welcoming Nobelhart & Schmutzig to our Villa Louise.

Nobelhart & Schmutzig describes itself as "brutally local" and "Germany's most political restaurant." Since the restaurant opened in 2015, owner Billy Wagner and chef Micha Schäfer have made it their mission to serve only ingredients from the Berlin area in order to support local food producers. There are no limes, no chocolate, no tuna or curry on the menu. These ingredients come from too far away.

Nobelhart & Schmutzig has not only been awarded a Michelin star and a Green Star, but was also ranked 17th as the best German restaurant in the World's 50 Best Restaurants 2022, based on the ratings of more than 1,000 experts.
